Prolong Your Dental Life by Paying Attention Now.

Root Canal Therapy, often referred to as a root canal, is a dental procedure designed to treat and save a tooth that is severely infected or damaged.

The procedure involves removing the pulp (soft tissue inside the tooth) when it becomes inflamed or infected, cleaning and disinfecting the inside of the tooth, and then sealing it.

The Steps of Root Canal Therapy

Your dentist will conduct a thorough examination, which may include X-rays, to diagnose the need for a root canal.

Local anesthesia is administered to ensure the procedure is pain-free.

The dentist opens the tooth, removes the infected or damaged pulp, and cleans the inside of the tooth.

After cleaning, the tooth is sealed to prevent further infection. In some cases, a temporary filling is placed.

A permanent restoration, such as a crown, is often recommended to protect and restore the tooth’s function.
